PDFdeal started the way most honest tools do: out of frustration. Our team was dealing with PDFs constantly, converting files before a meeting, slapping a watermark on a contract, trimming a document down before sending it off. We kept bouncing between half-broken free tools and overpriced subscriptions that required an account just to do something basic. None of them felt like they were built for people who actually use PDFs as part of their daily work. So we stopped looking for the right tool and decided to build it ourselves.

What began as an internal utility grew into something we genuinely wanted to use every day. We added the features we kept wishing existed, things like sensible defaults, clean output, and workflows that did not make you click through five screens to do one simple task. Every tool in PDFdeal was shaped by a real use case we had already run into ourselves, not a feature checklist assembled from competitor research. Over time the app became more polished, more reliable, and broad enough that we felt comfortable putting it in front of other people.

Today PDFdeal is free to use for everyone, because that is how we would have wanted to find it. We are a small team, we are not backed by venture capital, and we are not trying to lock anyone into a subscription on day one. We may introduce a paid plan down the road for heavier workloads or advanced features, but the core experience will stay accessible. Our mission is straightforward: give people dependable PDF tools without the friction, the upsells, or the fine print.
